One of my favorite stories (Stop reading if you want to read the Book) is when his mother decided to put their cat to sleep because it had feline leukimia. Shen went ahead doing so without discussing it with the family and later informed everyone of the cat being put to sleep. So the next day they pranked their mother saying they were from the Feline Leukimia Society and they just discovered a cure and wondered if their cat could come in tomorrow for the testing.... I almost died! The is just one of the many hilarious stories he shares.
A glimpse in the life of David Sedaris' family. He talks about the quirky characters in his family, but at the same time notes that he isn't exactly normal either. Another great book by David Sedaris!
