Dear Eli,
I am writing this to you on the night of your 2nd birthday. Reflecting on the past 2 years and the blessing that you have been to me, your "Daddy" and so many other people who love you very much. From the moment you were born you let everyone know you have arrived and you continue to do so each day. You may be small, but your presence is not.
You are the epitome of a person that walks into a room and lights it up with just your smile and even more with your amazing personality. You are inquisitive and observant. Just taking a walk outside with you makes your Daddy and I slow down to notice things we seem to forget as we get older... the birds flying above, the airplanes, sticks and leaves... jumping in the puddles and playing in the snow.
Before you were born I was called many things, Randi, Ran, Rando, and maybe some not so nice names... but now being called "Mama" is by far my favorite name. I am so honored to be your mother. I thank my lucky stars every day that you and Daddy are...mine.
I love you endlessly.
