So our upstairs bathroom was sort of in a cove, if you will. Because of this cove, steam wouldn't escape thae shower and thus cause moisture issues on the wall in and around the shower. After talking with several friends/experts we concluded that it would be best to remove this cove and felt that we could do the job... well, atleast the demo part. We got help for the sheet rocking part.
Here is a before shot.
Here is a better shot of what we are calling the cove/wall we removed.
..another angle.
Holy, buckets!? Can we really remove this thing? And when I say "we", I mean, Nick, can you do this?!

Nick is ready to go with his eye wear... and Eli as usual, has something interesting on. Tonight, it's the helmet!
Daddy? What's going on in there?
Daddy....
Daddy, I think I can help!
There he is... my handyman! The cove is still there...
...and a little later that night....
...oh my goodness!
Not too Bad, Nick! (I'm not surprised... he is so meticulous!)
Night 2: Nick had to remove a chunk of wood in the ceiling area of where the cove was. Eli, like always, was ready to help!
Ready to get to work!
Let's do this, Daddy!
Add this to my list of favorite things to wear!
Mama, try these on!
So, these photos were taken two weeks ago. Since then, we have had a guy come in a properly sheet rock, mud, sand, etc. Since we are also replacing the vanity, light fixture and medicine cabinet, we decided to wait until we have a quieter week to get it painted and those new items in place. Whew! I will get pictures posted as soon as we are done! Wish me luck!
