Strep?!
After a couple days of a running nose and a little cough that followed his fever last Friday/Saturday. I bright Eli into the doctor and we learned he has strep... No school tomorrow... Poor little guy....
Hockey Moms
Mom dear old friend Sonja and I met in Will mar when we were 10. She moved to Falcon Heights in the 10th grade, but we gave always kept in touch. Now we live down the street from each other and our boys all (she had 2) play Riseville hockey. So fun!

Loss - September 2012
I came across this draft for a post from September 28, 2012. I haven't shared this with too many people, and it still breaks my heart to think of the baby that we lost. Miscarriages are unfortunately something that many women experience, and something that I think just stays with you... in your heart forever.

Recently, we learned that we would be expecting our 2nd baby. We were overjoyed with excitement and quickly began discussing all the changes we would need to make to our home, our life, etc. We were thrilled. Unfortunately, we this week we lost the baby. Our hearts our broken.
I know that many woman go through this and go on to have beautiful healthy babies. But it is a lonely and sad time.

It's tricky to get things done around the house when your kid is napping in the doorway... Oh well, guess I'll go sit down and read my book!
Super Cold Monday!
Holy buckets! It is COLD outside!!! The Governor has called off school for K-12 and Eli's Pre-K has closed for today as well. Needless to say, Eli and I are stayin put at home today.

Sick day at home...
Today was suppose to be Eli's first day back to school since December 20, 2013! But he had a tough night coming down with a fever and then icky tummy this morning. We just found out that school is canceled next Monday, January 6th due to expected exreme low temps. So that will put him at about 2 1/2 weeks out of school when he finally goes back on Wednesday, January 8th. Aside from being sick today, it was a pretty fantastic winter break!
