2-Months at Home...
I just realized it has been 2-months that I have been a Stay-at-Home-Mom now. It has been absolutely wonderful! I can't even begin to explain how great it has been to spend my days with Eli. We have gotten into our little groove and actually keep ourselves very busy! We have many friends that we have been able to spend time with during the day. We go to story times at the library and a bookstore as well. I am casually looking for employment, unfortunately, there just isn't much available at the moment. In the meantime, I am enjoying this special time with my little buddy!

Hope for Haiti
Nick and I called right away tonight and made our donation. After we made the donation the operator asked us if we would like to speak with a celebrity, so we said sure! We were on hold for a few minutes when all of a sudden a woman gets on and says "Hello, this is Fran Drescher..." She was absolutely delightful and very kind. Considering the circumstances, we simply discussed our gratitude for her and everyone else's efforts for Hope for Haiti.
We pray for everyone in Haiti that they are able to rise above this great tragedy and become a stronger and better nation.
On a side note, I have to give a shout out to my girl, Madge! Got some serious goose bumps when she performed "Like a Prayer". If you didn't see it check it out... well, if you love Maddona as much as this girl from the 80s!

If you haven't yet made a donation, please do so by going to http://www.hopeforhaitinow.org/ or calling 1-877-99-HAITI. I heard Stevie Wonder say tonight, "Alot of littles makes alot of lots!" So give whatever you can!

Dear Santa - 2009
We took Eli to see Santa this morning. He had been sitting in Santa's lap for a while before the photographer finally took the picture... Eli was done with Santa at this point. This is the same Santa that Eli met last year, well, Eli really didn't meet him as he was napping....Last year's picture:

Book Club Tuesday - The Da Vinci Code

Well I finally read it. I am one of those people that waits until the dust settles before I "follow the crowd". Anyway, this book was fantastic! As a Catholic, I was not offended, or felt like it was defaming the life of Jesus. Logically, I believe that Christ could potentially have a blood line... how fascinating is that to think of? I do believe that Jesus existed, I believe the stories about the life he lived, and his teachings. I believe that he was an amazing person that taught people to live a good and just life during a time when there was much corruption. Anyway, read it if you haven't!
